Wednesday 27th August 2008 – Levoca, Slovakia

It was time to say goodbye to the High Tatras and move on east. First of all we drove to the hotel with the Internet service and had coffees whilst researching travel insurance and booking our channel crossing. We were surprised to find that the cost of Eurotunnel was only a little more than the ferries, so we decided that we would return in style. So the end of the Odyssey will be October 21st, but that is still eight weeks away and there is still plenty more to see.
We drove to Poprad and then on to Levoca where we found a Billa supermarket and did a major shop for provisions. The old town of Levoca looks very pretty and we will definitely visit tomorrow but now we drove the short distance to the Levoca Dolina (valley) campsite. The site is on a hill and it took quite a time to get Henrietta approximately level, but it is pleasant, with marked footpaths running through the site.
Photos: This two coloured flower (I am no good at flower names!) was very common around the campsite.
