We had intended to visit the archaeological museum in
Igoumenitsa today but when we checked their website, it showed that they were
closed on Tuesdays. Moreover, tomorrow is a bank holiday and it is highly
likely that the museum will be closed then as well. We decided to extend our
stay at the campsite from the initial plan of 2 nights to 3 nights, which would
mean that we could go to the museum on Thursday on the way to Ioannina
(Yannina). Being now in Greek mode, we decided to relax for the next couple of
days, enjoy the weather and drink in the lovely view.
In the evening, we went to the campsite restaurant and had a very good meal.
They earned extra points from me as they had one of my favourite Greek dishes,
Yigantes – giant white beans cooked in the oven with a tomato sauce.
