The idea was to have a relaxing day sat in the sun but the night was stormy with a large thunderstorm at 06:00. The day was overcast but fortunately we only had a couple of showers.
We strolled into Finale di Polina to buy bread, fresh milk and vegetables and found a very pleasant village without the run-down houses that we have found almost everywhere else in Sicily.
Whilst we were in the village, I spotted a poster advertising an Olive Festival this weekend. We managed to work out that most things were happening on Sunday afternoon and this was confirmed by the campsite receptionist when we returned. We decided that we would stay on until Monday so that we could see the celebrations.
