Apart from a big shop at a hypermarket, we drove straight to
our aire at Le Palus. This proved to be very popular but we managed to find a
pitch that looked over the children’s play area to the sea. A high bank of pebbles
protects the land from storms but there is a wide stretch of good sandy beach
before the sea. It was a lovely sunny day and Jane took the decision to have a
rare dip in the sea whilst I walked up to the top of the cliff to admire the
view. This really is a lovely spot with two restaurants and a beach shack that
sells beer, wine, simple snacks and oysters.
