Monday 24th September 2018 – Plougasnou, Brittany, France

By the morning the winds had reduced and the views were lovely across a calm sea.
We left campsite by 10:00 and drove to the Rose Granit Coast. We stopped by the boating lake in Perros-Guirec and then walked around the headland with wonderful views over the blue sea and the rocky islets. There are lovely houses here although it was obvious that they were mostly second homes. The church in the centre of Perros-Guirec was most unusual and well worth the visit whilst in its grounds there was an outdoor exhibition of excellent wildlife photographs by a local photographer.
On then to Plougasnou continuing round the coast until turning inland to Lannion and then through pretty countryside with the inevitable fields of cabbages and artichokes but also cider producers. The aire at Le Diban Port, close to Plougasnou, is in a beautiful position with views over the port, fascinating rocky outcrops and the sea. The weather was clear and sunny, resulting in a beautifully blue sea. We walked around to view the rock formations and the port before settling down to dinner in the motorhome.
Photos: The French really do things in style – these miniature boats at the miniature port had a large boating lake to sail around at St. Quay Perros; The bay at Tregastel; The church at Perros Guirec; View from our pitch at Plougasnou; Rock formations at Plougasnou; It was very tempting to try to rock this one – why doesn’t it fall?
