We left Patras 30 minutes late and, sure enough, we arrived in Ancona 30 minutes late. We were soon disembarked and headed for the motorway. We normally try to avoid the motorway but the non-motorway options towards Turin are very congested and take nearly twice as long. We haven’t got the time to take it really slowly and, being very flat, the scenery is not very interesting, so the motorway was the best option. We arrived at Bologna and the campsite Centro Turistico Citta di Bologna at about 18:00 and headed for the campsite restaurant for a very pleasant meal.
