Tuesday 10th May 2022 – La Morra, near Borolo, Italy

Another day of motorway driving took us to the Barolo area of Italy, famous for its very good and very expensive wine. Much of the journey was through very flat land, some full of fields of fruit orchards and some with land areas of vines. As we approached Asti, hills started to appear and the occasional castle or hilltop town with towers added interest to the views. Leaving the motorway at Asti, we found a Mercato supermarket to buy essential supplies and Italian goodies to take home. We were heading for a campsite in Vergne but, just before reaching Barolo town, Jane spotted a sign to Agricamping La Rosa nel Borgo that indicated that they accommodated motorhomes. We turned around and drove in. It is also a Borolo vineyard and we had a lovely view over the vines and the hilltop villages beyond.
