It was an easy journey from Somerset to Dover, although I
always find driving tedious on British motorways. The Irish Ferries ferry was
very quiet and we were lucky to be the second vehicle off leaving just a 40
minute drive to our campsite.
Camping Chateau Gonspette at Eperlecques is set in the grounds of a chateau,
which sounds very grand but the chateau itself is not very impressive. Having
said that, the campsite is very pleasant with good pitches and facilities,
including a restaurant that we visited that evening. The menu was, almost,
chips with everything but the food was good.
