We set off for Austria, stopping first at the nearby Intermarche supermarket and then a brief section of motorway before joining the 200 up into the Austrian mountains. The road went through many pretty villages and gave us many beautiful views of mountains wreathed in clouds that also crept down into the valleys. We started climbing, following the course of the river Inn until we reached Prutz and Camping Prutz. We selected our pitch – one in the ‘luxury’ section that was slightly larger and had good views of the mountains. Much of the journey was done in light rain but this stopped when we arrived at the campsite and we settled in for a cooler night’s sleep.
